On Saturday, September 16, 2017, the Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Club will be holding its 38th Annual Grosse Pointe Run. Events include a 1 Mile Fun Run; 5 & 10 K Run on a USATF certified course, 5K Competitive Walk and 5K Wheelchair event. With over 600 runners and hundreds of spectators, it is an exciting day in our community and our biggest fundraiser.
There are several ways to sponsor our race. A special supplement insert in the Grosse Pointe Magazine will be distributed every home in the Pointes starting early September. You may purchase an ad, a mile marker, donate food or water to the race or simply make a monetary donation.
Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary is part of Rotary International. Rotarians across the globe have worked tirelessly for many years to eradicate polio. Through our foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) organization, the Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Club has supported that cause. Close to home, this club also works hard to make a difference locally. During the past year we:
- Provided over $16,000 in scholarships to outstanding students from Grosse Pointe North, Grosse Pointe South, Regina High School, Harper Woods High School and De La Salle High School.
- Provided financial support to Eagle Sports Club, Boy Scouts of America, Gear Heads, Salvation Army, Kids on the Go, The Lake House, and Shelter Box an international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter and vital aid to people affected by disaster worldwide.
Please help us to help others in the community by becoming a sponsor today. Ad deadline is August 15th. Please make checks payable and mail to:
